Teaching Moment

This is for Grammy. I'll try and put some more videos of Cade on here so you can see him grow. I'll try not to put too many on so you don't get bored!

Sleeping

Lily and Hailey are the bestest of friends. They are so much like sisters. I wish we could keep Hailey, but I think her family would miss her too much. We had a sleepover with Hailey last week which made Lily oh so very happy. These girls are so much fun. You never know what is going to happen when they are together. I was doing so good by having them in bed by 8:30 (we have early church), but of coarse it took them over an hour to fall asleep. i tried to get them to sleep on the floor, but no, they wanted to sleep in Lily's bed. I tried to get them to take off all the animals, but no, they wanted them on the bed with them. This is a small bed. They were so squished together but they didn't care.

And Lily wonders why we won't let her sleep in our bed?!

The funniest part is that at 1:30 am I awoke to a noise. I got out of my nice warm bed and walked down the hall to see the living room and kitchen lights on. When I got to Lily's room I about died. Lily and Hailey are wide awake and eating cereal out of a Ziploc bag and playing blocks!! I immediately told them to get into bed and go to sleep. I guess I had a pretty hard face on because there were no objections and they were asleep within 5 minutes.

Oh how I love these two girls.

Not sick anymore

On Tuesday Lily was very sick with a... throwing up bug!! She could not stop throwing up. I HATE THROW UP. It was awful. She could not keep anything down. Water, Gatorade, Popsicles, BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast), Tums, nothing. She just laid on the couch ALL day watching TV. I'm such a good mom. At least it was great TV!! We watch Anne of Greene Gables!! She loved it. I'm so happy. Lily has a hard time sitting still to watch a 1.5 hour movie, so you know she didn't feel good when she watched almost 10 hours of Anne!

I'm happy to report that it turned out to be a 24 h our bug. Thank goodness! I don't know if I could wash out the throw up bowl anymore. However, all the energy Lily saved up on Tuesday came pouring out her cute little body on Wednesday. She drove me CRAZY!! She was bouncing off the walls and eating everything. Lily is usually a VERY (understatement of the year) good eater and today was no exception. We had many arguments because she wanted to eat everything all the time. I kept telling her that she was going to get sick again but she didn't care. Her tummy was hurting because she was so hungry.

Well, from the pictures below we can see that Sammy was the brunt of Lily's boredom too!! Poor Sammy. She is such a trooper!!
